THINGS TO DO
Reay Golf Course
Reay is the most northerly natural links course on the UK mainland. We have a beautiful wide 18-hole course, right on the coast. Ideal for beginners or the professional.
Drive, Walk , Run or Climb
We are delighted to be situated right on the North Coast 500 route which is a circular route offering spectacular scenery around the north of Scotland.
Caithness and Sutherland have an abundance of local paths, through forests and golden beaches - or you may prefer to climb some mountains. John O Groats and the Duncansbay stacks are well worth a visit.
Whether fly fishing for salmon , loch fishing in the many lochs close by for trout, or a bit of sea fishing from the rocks - it's nearby.
The nearby town of Thurso and also Wick, 30 miles away, offer some interesting, independent and quaint shops selling crafts, local produce and a selection of lovely restaurants, cafes and bars.
There are some fantastic sea trips in our area where you can enjoy a variety of birds and mammals, including the occasional whale, seal or dolphin.
Thurso is known world wide as a surfers' paradise!
The many beaches nearby are safe for paddling and swimming.
There are a number of facilities in the local area which offer horse riding lessons or a canter through woodland areas for the more experienced rider.
A quick note to let you know that we both enjoyed our stay at your B & B. It is very well-appointed, comfortable and the food was excellent. We were disappointed that we could not stay longer but will certainly stay with you again when next we visit the area. We will be recommending you to our friends who are travelling to Scotland.
Keep up the good work, your B & B has been by far the best we have stayed in so far this trip.
John and Noelene Pyle
